Years ago, I wrote this caption to summarize our homeschool, and it still rings true. Even more so, as our family grows together.
“I was thinking a lot today about my dreams and goals for our homeschool. Specifically this year, but also my desires and goals for where my kids will be when they leave home. The skills they will have. The things I want them to remember. Prayer and time have distilled the goals down to three words: Relationship, Wonder, and Investigation.
I hope they fly the nest knowing what a vibrant, joyous relationship with God looks like.
I hope my kids build a beautiful, lifelong friendship with one another.
I hope they nurture their curiosity and experience the enchantment of creation.
I hope they learn to ask good questions, evaluate the answers, and draw their own conclusions.
I hope they never stop being delighted by a rainbow on the floor.”
